Niseko 2
Niseko (ニセコ町, Niseko-chō)
I spent 8 days exploring the snowy mountains, weaving through frosted forests on skis, taking in its edges and gully's. I’d get to the base of the mountain in the early morning when the lifts first opened, desperate to carve the fresh snow on my first run, before another set of skis could meet the surface. With tired legs I’d explore every inch of the mountain from dawn till dusk, my limbs holding on by a thread by the end of the day. This piece is an adaptation of my snowy experience covering as many tracks as I could, whilst taking in her shape as I uncovered her true form.
