Although my time here was merely a quick stop on my way out to Niseko, I was drawn to create this piece by the mountainous landscape that formed as the plane journeyed closer to the tarmac. Renowned for its beer and being the capital of the mountainous northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, this was my first taster of the northern sights of my adventures in Japan.
